Bloomquist in Victory Lane

I am an unabashed Scott Bloomquist fan. I will not deny that fact. One thing I will try to do with this blog is to minimize my fandom when talking about Dirt Late Model racing. But "Bloomer" was back in Victory Lane Friday night at the Super Bowl of dirt racing. Bloomquist cars are two for two at GIS, and are consistently running at the front of the field (granted with 11 cars in attendance, the odds are a little better.) Two drivers that are having a great Super Bowl are Randall Chupp and Kelly Boen. These teammates are putting the world on notice that they are for real. Chupp has two straight runner up finishes and Boen by all accounts was the fastest car Thursday night until he went all "Kelly Boen" on the deal. (see previous post)
The top ten looked like this:
1. Scott Bloomquist
2. Randle Chupp (pole winner again)
3. Kelly Boen
4. Chris Madden
5. Josh Richards
6. Jimmy Owens
7. Matt Miller
8. Ronny Lee Hollingsworth
9. Rick Eckert
10. Earl Pearson Jr.,

Night number three is $10,000 tonight at Golden Isle Speedway.

Kelly Boen in Midseason Form

courtesy of dirtondirt.com

Well, as you can see, Kelly Boen is in midseason form. I kid. Kelly is definitely a great driver and always one to put on a show.
Here is the top 10 from night number one of the Superbowl of racing at Golden Isle Speedway.
1. Chris Madden
2. Randle Chupp (pole winner 15.180)
3. Scott Bloomquist
4. Earl Pearson Jr.
5. Josh Richards
6. Ronny Lee Hollingsworth
7. Matt Miller
8. Brady Smith
9. Rick Eckert
10. Jason Fitzgerald (who also won the Limited Late Model feature on night one)

All results from dirtondirt.com...as will most of my results through the year. If you're not a member of that site, you probably should be. They feature GREAT coverage of dirt late models.
